年輕人多意外奪命 老人最怕肺炎

衛福部昨公布最新年度死因統計，2017年共有17萬1857人死亡，前10大死因就包辦了總死亡人口的76.8％，當中，除了癌症連續36年蟬聯榜首，國人熟知的心臟病、糖尿病、高血壓紛紛入榜，唯一「非疾病」的死因，則是高居第6位的事故傷害，不僅是1∼24歲族群最主要的死亡原因，也是「平均生命年數損失」最高的死因，高達24.4年。
衛福部指出，我國去年死亡人數計17萬1857人，經計算，造成的平均生命年數損失高達15.3年，較10年前進步了3.2年，前10大死因當中，更以不可預期的事故傷害生命年數損失高居第一，來到24.4年，其次依序為慢性肝病及肝硬化的16.9年、心臟疾病的13.6年，死亡人數最多的癌症則僅排第4，平均損失12.7年壽命。
年輕族群因為身體較健康，免疫力高，死於疾病的人數較少，統計發現，若以年齡別來細分，1∼24歲的民眾，死亡主因以事故傷害居首，當中以「運輸事故」占最大宗，其次為接觸到有毒物質和意外中毒；25∼44歲族群，則以癌症和事故傷害為前2大死因，45歲以上族群，最容易死於癌症和心臟疾病。
此外，去年肺炎死亡人數依舊高居死因第3，但令外界不解的是，去年並無霸王級寒流襲台，流感疫情也控制得當，為何死亡人數仍較前一年還多了246人、上升2.2％？
衛福部疾管署副署長羅一鈞解釋，綜觀前10大死因的死亡年齡中位數，肺炎以85歲高居第一，進一步分析顯示，肺炎死亡人口中，65歲以上族群超過9成，更有超過5成是85歲以上長者，顯示年齡確實是「罹患肺炎致死」的最大因素。
羅一鈞補充，要預防肺炎，每年應定期接種流感疫苗，也應每5年接種肺炎鏈球菌疫苗，「75歲以上民眾，有王詹樣基金會捐贈的疫苗可打，部分縣市也有提供65歲以上族群公費施打」。
羅一鈞進一步強調，肺炎並非全都由流感或細菌引起，免疫力變差，糖尿病、慢性肺阻塞COPD等，都是併發肺炎的危險因子，民眾也應謹慎控制這些慢性病。
